Carolina Bonaventura & Francisco Forquera
Carolina Bonaventura and Francisco Forquera are both professional tango dancers, teachers, choreographers and directors with integral artistic studies. They had been developing their career in two different and comple-mentary areas, the pedagogic and the artistic one. They had been performing and teaching all over the world since 15 years. Precision, perception and a wide technical authority allowed them to achieve a thin musical appraisal focused on exploring new dancing alterna-tives without losing the traditional essence of tango. Carolina & Francisco have recently created their own Tango Company Mes¬tizaje Tango a melting pot of culture, in a unique and dramatic tango show, joining responsibilities in its artistic direction and choreography.They are settled in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where they effectively manage one of the trendiest spot in town "Mariposita de San Telmo", a place for tango, tango school, hotel and tango productions. In addition to the expertise, the ability for marketing their talent, took them to develop a trademark complete tango methodology. It based on easy technique for men and women, tango salón, tango stage, milonga, vals and professional coaching. Students from all over the world come regularly to the studio to be embed¬ded in their distinctive dancing style and dedication to widen their art of tango at large.
Carolina's classes are dictated by a pedagogical style that combines a deep understanding of the anatomical function of the body, the technique of Tan¬go as discipline, and the experience as a recognized dancer. In her classes Carolina motivates her students to reach perfection throughout the brake down of each movement. In class, Carolina guides her students using her deep and profuse knowledge and understanding of Tango's technique that is characterized by precision and accuracy. Carolina's classes offer challenges as well as stimulus making students feel gratified when learning.
Francisco has an educational style that works with the dynamics of the couple including elements such as genre, the essence of the dance, and the initiation of the movement as an energy that is originated from a deep per¬sonal desire to generate "something" in the other person (a visceral feeling). With resolute determination Francisco insists in one element in particular: the embrace is what produces the connection between a man and a woman, and that the diverse figures are originated from that internal energy. Only then, Francisco contends, the dance becomes a feeling that can be danced. Carolina Bonaventura and Francisco Forquera merged their own successful careers and began acting as dance partners since March 2008. Together they revolutionized the dance floor and the stage provoking in audiences diverse sensations, emotions, and reactions. In other words, Caro¬lina and Francisco dance Tango from the deeps of their inner selves, from a sensorial and spiritual connection elaborating one of the most exquisite dances. This couple demonstrates the intensity of the dance in their embrace and through the perfection of their teachings. In their rich and succesfull careers they've been dancing and teaching in the most countries in the world, from Argentina, Brasil, Uruguay, to Korea, Filipines, Indonesia, Italy, German, Belgium, Russia etc., and took part in the most prestigious Tango festivals.
